Six manuscript sermons by Graham and an essay, "Exposition upon Psalms: 34," dated 1746-1774, in an unidentified hand. Sermons are annotated, in an unidentified hand, with the dates that the sermons were delivered by Graham and an unidentified minister between 1770 and 1782. Bound with a printed title page which includes the statement, "Annotated: 1877."

John Graham was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1694, and was educated in medicine at Glasgow University. At the age of 24, he emigrated to Exeter, New Hampshire, where he entered the ministry. On May 25th, 1723, Graham was ordained and became the first minister of the Congregationalist church at Stafford, Connecticut, a town settled only four years previously.
